ARTISTS in ACTION series
Individuals visit museums and galleries to see completed
artworks installed, but the artist who created the works
remains largely invisible. Museum- and gallery-goers are left
to surmise what inspired the artist, how they developed their
concept, and the process by which the work was crafted.
Answers to these questions and more can be had by
attending Artists in Action!, at Girls’ Club, Fort Lauderdale’s
non-profit alternative space exhibiting contemporary art by
women.
Girls’ Club presents the series of four artist talks free and
open to the public, thanks to a Broward Cultural Division
Mini-Grant. A behind-the-scenes look at the creative process
of four local artists, Artists in Action! events are scheduled
for two Saturday and afternoons and two Friday evenings
beginning February 20th. Dates and times are listed below. A
lively atmosphere and stimulating discussion is guaranteed.
